This course is ideal for anyone seeking a career in designing and making high quality furniture. A true craft course, working in our workshops, you will build practical furniture-making skills and learn about furniture design and manufacture.

In addition to design, you will cover a range of practical skills, including furniture-making, wood-turning and finishing. Furniture Design & Making will set you on the way to your own furniture making business, or to progression to other areas of specialism. These include furniture conservation, bespoke furniture design, shop-fitting design and other timber crafts.

Students on this programme are supported to build a Design Portfolio for career and progression interviews.
